For those who know me personally, know I am definitely a planner. I like to organize things and execute my daily to-do list. I like order. Before traveling, I make sure to do research about places to visit, restaurants and coffee shops not to miss. The last thing you want to do is waste time figuring things out when you have limited time in a specific city. During my trip to Italy, my friends and I had a plan but also went with the flow, because things like weather can change your plans real quick! By the end of third day in Rome, we've seen most of places we had on our list, so my friend and I decided to find somewhere to go for a day! Around midnight we decided to buy train tickets for 6am train ride to Venice! I spent about an hour looking up places to see in Venice, just so we had a general idea where to go after stepping off the train! It was the most exciting and spontaneous thing I've done in a while. I'm so blessed with such flexible and open-minded friends. We walked through narrow alleys of Venice and crossed hundreds of canal bridges. The color on the water is just unreal. It complements all the colorful buildings of this city so well! Of course no trip to Venice is complete without two things: Gondola ride and seafood! Even though it got cold towards the evening, we enjoyed the most magical winter sunset while being surrounded by Venetian Lagoon. It was the perfect ending to an amazing day, exploring city built on water.
